Introduction and interest in contributing to NumFOCUS projects

Hello everyone,

My name is Simranjeet Kaur, and I am a student with a strong interest in Python and data science. I am eager to start contributing to open-source projects under the NumFOCUS community.

I’ve been exploring some of the NumFOCUS supported projects and really appreciate the focus on open, well documented, and impactful scientific computing tools. I would love to get involved and start contributing in any way that is helpful.

Could you please suggest how a newcomer like me can get started? Are there any beginner-friendly issues, documentation tasks, or contribution guidelines I should look at first?
