Dear NumFOCUS Community,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is G N Likith Yadav, and I am a B.Tech student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at MVJ College of Engineering (2023–2027). With a strong passion for machine learning, deep learning, and open-source development, I have been actively working on AI-driven solutions, particularly in predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and intelligent decision-making systems.
Technical Expertise & Contributions:Machine Learning & AI – Experienced in working with transformer-based models for predictive analytics, financial forecasting, and stock market analysis.
Python & Data Science – Proficient in Python, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow for building and optimizing ML models.
Open-Source Contributions – Engaged in various open-source projects, including AI-driven data analysis tools, and eager to contribute to NumFOCUS initiatives.
Time Series Forecasting – Explored and implemented forecasting models and am particularly interested in enhancing Aeon’s forecasting module.
I am highly interested in contributing to the Aeon forecasting module as part of Google Summer of Code (GSoC). This project strongly aligns with my expertise in machine learning and time series prediction, and I am excited about the opportunity to improve forecasting algorithms, enhance usability, and optimize performance.
Additionally, I would love to start contributing even before the official GSoC period begins. If there are any early-stage project tasks or contributions that I can work on, I am eager to begin collaborating with the community as soon as possible.
I am committed to dedicating my time and effort to this project, learning from mentors, and making meaningful contributions to open-source time series forecasting. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my potential involvement further.
