Hi everyone,

I’m Salih Tangel, a Master’s student in Kocaeli University/Turkey I’m very interested in contributing to DeepForest for GSoC 2026.

I’ve already successfully implemented and tested the DeepForest-Agent on Colab. I am particularly impressed by how the project uses computer vision to automate tree crown and bird detection in ecological data.

Having the code up and running, I'm now looking for ways to contribute to the 2026 roadmap. I’d love to hear about any "good first issues" or project ideas you have in mind.
