Dear colleagues

The School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems at Northern Arizona University invites applications for a post-doctoral scholar in software engineering and computer-supported cooperative work to begin Spring 2020 
The successful candidate will participate in projects in the topic of Inclusion and Diversity in Open Source Software. The scholar will be responsible for helping in the management of the project, by co-advising the students involved, participating in decisions related to the project, and co-managing the lab. The scholar will be accompanying the students in data collections in companies and conferences. Outstanding candidates in empirical software engineering, open source software, CSCW, or a related field will be considered. The postdoctoral scholar will be expected to write manuscripts to peer-reviewed conferences and journals, write grant proposals and reports to federal agencies, and to give talks and present papers at national and international conferences.             

Candidates must hold a good relevant degree and a PhD Computer Science, Informatics, System Engineering, or a related field conferred by the start date. A strong background is required in Software Engineering HCI, and/or CSCW fields.

Post-Doctoral Scholars are hired on a contract basis, renewable each fiscal year for a maximum of 4 renewals (5 years) according to terms of the Arizona Board of Regents' Conditions of Post-Doctoral Service.

NAU offers an excellent benefit package to Post-Doctoral Scholars including generous health, dental and vision insurance; 10 days of vacation and 10 holidays per year; and tuition reduction for employees and qualified family members.
