New DISC Steering Committee Members, June meeting notes

Hi everyone,

Quick update from NumFOCUS:

Our new DISC Steering Committee members are...

• Hannah Aizenman
• Melissa Ferrari
• Ana Ruvalcaba
• Katrina Riehl (NumFOCUS Board of Directors)

We're very excited to have their participation for the next 2 years!

Meanwhile, we extend our sincerest thanks to those Steering Committee members who are rolling off:

• Julie Hollek
• Reshama Shaikh
• Julia Meinwald

Our continuing members are:

• Leonie Mueck
• Madicken Munk
• Samuel Brice
• and myself, Gina Helfrich

We had our first Steering Committee meeting with the new members on Tuesday. Notes from that meeting can be found here.

If you're interested in getting involved with the DISC Program, we will be holding project kick-off meetings with all interested contributors in early July.

We plan to continue sending regular updates to this list reporting on our activities and progress and how you can help. We hope the community will appreciate the uptick in activity in this group!

Gina, thanks for sending this update and sharing the meeting notes too. It's nice to see what folks are working on.
