How Do I Post?
As a NSBE dc member you can either post a message from your email inbox or from within the NSBE List.
- To post a message from your email inbox, send a message to thelist@nsbedc.org Please be sure to add the appropriate category in parentheses before the subject (ex: (JOB) Job Opening at Acme) in the subject line. See below for categories.
- To post a message from inside the NSBE List, click on "Discussions" (on the right), select "NEW TOPIC” and add the appropriate category in parentheses before the subject (ex: (JOB) Job Opening at Acme) in the subject line. See below for categories.
- Note: You can now post a message to the NSBE List from your web-connected smart devices (Blackberry, Android, iPhone, etc) using this method or e-mail thelist@nsbedc.org, please still use the post tags for your e-mails. For more about posting tags see below.
Posting Categories
(JOB) - Post jobs (paid, unpaid, full-time, part-time, temporary, permanent, internships).
(EDU) - Education and Development Opportunities
(EVENT) - Post upcoming events.
(ACTION) - Post advocacy items or calls to action.
(HOUSING) - Post anything about housing in the DC Metropolitan area.
(MARKETPLACE) - Post items you are selling or donating (not items you are seeking).
(MISC) – Discuss hot topics in the Science, Engineering, and Technology community such as current events or news articles.
(REC) - Seek recommendations from fellow NSBE members for everything from doctors to tailors. (Before posting a request, please review "Pages", where NSBE members have posted recommendations for common requests are archived).
