Sir,

When to use bin and bist ?

Sir in the online live session you gave an example --

 Du bin Deutschlehrer. Das ist dein Lehrbuch

Sir why cant we write bist instead of bin ?

1).Means Sir kindly state the difference between 'bin' and 'bist'

2).and when they are used ?

There might be some confusion here.

"bin" is a conjugated form of the verb "sein" which is used with "ich", while "bist" is used with "du". 

I think it was "Ich bin Deutschlehrer. Das ist dein Lehrbuch."
