MOOCS vs classroom teaching?

Can a class of MOOCs completely outsmart a similar physical class? (Assume-teacher was same).

MOOC's gained prominence as it is flexible, accessible and can foster student interaction through various activities and discussion, which can be done at their own pace. 

The effectiveness depends on individual learning styles and the subject.

MOOCs can complement traditional classes by employing the methods of flipped classroom to enhance learning outcomes.
