Hi,

I have a question about what is happening in this video at 00:07:59 -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gUBhhirka0#t=479s.

The graph showing fairly retained engagement on a consistent basis over weeks because the regular discussions were self-triggered discussions and were not happening in response to the FQ . Also, the element of RQ brings a sense of mandatory closure which is part of course fulfillment. Is that a correct observation to make. May kindly comment..

Thanks!

Your point makes sense! When learners can chat with each other whenever they want and there are also tasks they have to finish, it keeps them interested for longer. Having both of these things together helps people stay engaged and feel like they've completed something important in their course. So, in a nutshell, having discussions and assessments like this can make  online learning, a really good experience for adults.
