Is jam and butter substitute goods? they are not directly interchangeable, but when we are eating bread, it is a substitute good.

Dear Learner,
Sure Jam and Butter are two different products and butter can be used in different ways as well.
But her as you have specified in terms using butter and jam with bread they become substitutes.
