-- live sessions are  being attended by very few.

-- assignment submissions also is very low.

If there are any specific suggestions that  may help you learn better than please  share on the forum.

Namaste sir, I am learning interesting things from this course. Thank you for your lectures, live sessions, assignments and also the Text Book. 

Sir, I do not know what the enrolled students are doing, maybe some are full time students, some working and I wonder if they are working, that could be the cause for not attending live sessions. 

I think live sessions are very important because that gives us an opportunity to ask questions directly to you and interact with you through NPTEL which probably wouldn't have been possible otherwise. 

About assignments, so far they are as expected, some of them are giving insights into the machinery of probability theory. I'm just enjoying these. This course really helped me learn with my pace, I am a slow learner. 

Sir, I ask one more important thing, during live sessions could you for few minutes share your personal experience when you were a student of probability theory earlier in your life? Like some interesting things that you might have encountered through your Mathematics journey, how you dealt with numerous pitfalls/confusions, how rigourous/pedantic your thought process was, how you dealt with abstractions, things that inspired you and all those stories, little by little just 2-3 mins in every live sessions so that this would inspire us students in our journey.

The course is wonderful as here we are studying Probability and development of the concepts related to it just from the two basic axioms of probability. I am enjoying the course. 

I have few suggestions which I think will help us in learning better -

Sir may you please upload the answers to the exercises at the end of each unit of your book "Probability and Statistics with examples using R". When I solved the exercises (specially the numerical problems) of the book, I was not confident that whether the answer which I got is correct or I have thought about the problem and applied the concepts correctly. If we have final answers to that numerical problem then we can match our answers with them, if our answers were wrong then we can think about the problem further and try to find the mistakes. Without the answers we won't be able to know whether our way of thinking is correct or not, thus not able to analyse the concepts correctly and understand our mistakes. As there are lot of numerical problems in the book, we can't post them in the discussion forum for the confirmation of our answers. So, sir may you please upload the final answers to exercises in your book (specially of numerical problems). I think for all the students, having final answers to the exercies will help in analysing the concepts in a much effiecient and better way because sometimes we get a clear picture of a concept by solving problems related to it.

Sir first thing we are not at the position of giving suggestions to you.

This course is excellent and i became a fan for the way your following the methodology. My dream is to study at ISI but i did not. Some how my dream comes to true with this NPTEl classes. Really thankful to NPTEL. Getting seat at ISI for any course is not so easy... and learners should understand the value of ISI.

Even in future if any course run by ISI (kolkata/ Bengalore/ Delhi) i definitely follow and i will get the certificate.
