The efforts taken by the team for the course orchestration and the commitment with which all have contributed deserve a big applause.
I was very eager to go to the discussion forum and this is the first NPTEL course out of the 5 courses taken over the past 3 years that I had this experience. All credit goes to the orchestration team.

Looking at the importance and effectiveness of LxI s and orchestration, why this model is not being followed in other NPTEL courses?

The live-session timing were not appropriate for me and I missed all. I would advise rotating the timings or keeping those on weekends so that most of the users can attend at least one.

Thank You Prof. Ashish on behalf of everyone from the course team.

Wider adoption in NPTEL is something that we are also trying to push for. However, there are several constraints that limit large-scale adoption of the LCM pedagogy. We are hoping that the course alumni and learners will be ambassadors of learner-centricity in their own respective regions/local chapters and initiate their own learner-centric efforts along with NPTEL courses (say through mentoring or content augmentation).

We are definitely looking at the issue of live session timings, and for the next edition of the course we will try to follow your suggestion.

Regards

As a teacher i feel lucky to enroll in this course. At the beginning before commencement of course when i told about my enrollement collegues discouraged by saying that  a course on designing a MOOC may not be helpful. But now after going through all 4 week course content, I got a greater insight into the teaching-Learning process. I learnt how best we can adopt the technology ICT in teaching. The course team and the orchestration was awsome. In fact every day I practice some aspect of my learning from this course in my class room teaching.

Well said Ashish.
THe most crucial and decisive aspect of LCM course is the orchestration. These people have wonderfully integrated various aspects along with LeDs, LbDs, LxTs and LxIs. THe live interaction along with live chat, Involving past-learners in discussion forum, conducting discussion forum in a more specified way as LxIs,  etc. are truly innovative and effective means of orchestration. We all are inspired by such orchestration and surely involve such things in our own MOOC creation and implementation.
