Hi,

I have a question about what is happening in this video at 00:04:47 -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il8AN_UIEIc#t=287s.

Is it possible to develop personal touch towards learners in online courses.

Thanks!

Dear Learner,
This has been one of the major problem faced by online courses. Moocs are Massive in terms of No. of participants as compared to classrooms. The No. of Learners are usually in two digits or may be around hundreds but In a online courses, it is in thousands. Also, the lack of physical presence of Instructor hampers his ability to make personal touch with learners.
But, this problem can be sort out to an extent by LCM Model.
In LCM Model, frequent live sessions by instructors, active responses from instructors and moderators, etc do tries to make personal touch with learners. You might know that JK Sir who is one of the course instructor do answers your queries frequently. This is something new you might have not seen in other online courses. We can consider this as an example of how instructors can make personal touch with learners.
Regards,
Pawan.
