Hi,
Conventional learners are acquainted with classroom teaching and learning. Especially the "Digital Migrants" who are currently teachers, may have reluctance to learn on MOOC. How can they be motivated or convinced for MOOC?

It's a nice question. I guess the popularity and necessity of MOOCs is getting momentum. It is still early days for MOOCs to be the essential aspect of teachers' professional life. But slowly but surely the change is occurring.
1. There is significance given to SWAYAM NPTEL MOOCs in terms of credits w.r.t CAS for teachers in higher education.

2. UGC is promoting SWAYAM NPTEL MOOCs to all college and University faculty.

3. Provision of financial support is there for creation of MOOCs.

But yet it is still long way to go.
MOOCs should be made mandatory component of CAS.
More importantly it is going to be a matter of prestige to attempt MOOCs.

I am of opine that it is the intrinsic motivation that leads to enroll for MOOC and more importantly to complete it successfully.
