Dear Faculties,

1. The prime objective of LeD is to make the learners to better acquire the concepts through an interaction and dialogues established between instructors and learners. This is the best way whereby learners convey their understanding and quick learning of concepts.
2. Eventhough, LeD has many advantages, the content should be very minimal and the duration of the video should be small for the effective listening of the students.
3. The lectures should not have traditional power point slides, rather experimental simulations and animations will foster engagement among the learners.

LeD is considered one among the other elements to foster engagement but not the only element.

Mostly agree to all the points except the one on shorter videos. Though research says that shorter videos are better, have you tried comparing a longer duration LeD video and normal video? I do have an intuition that longer duration LeDs might still be accepted by learners. Let me know your thoughts on this.

I think in addition to what you say LeD enables the course developer to think, design and develop video based learning content in more precise, effective manner to address the learning objectives.
