problem in registering for exam

Hi

As I have started with the registration process and have filled in few details, now as I want to make some changes, I am unable to edit it. Though EDIT button is shown on the screen but no editting like address etc. is being permitted.  I am using Chrome as specified. please let me know how to make some changes so that I am able to register for exam.

The information regarding deadline for editing some sections is available as notification in your course and have been emailed also. Kindly check the same. If the deadline is over, you won't be able to do any changes.

Hi Nidhi,

I am forwarding your query to the support team at NPTEL. Sorry for the delay in seeing this. As your peer Deepti had identified, some of the fields may not be changeable after initial entry. The usual practice is that an error form is created where you can mention the fields that you need to edit. What will help the support team in giving you a detailed reply is a screenshot of what you are trying to do and the exact list of fields that you are trying to change.

Kindly look into the query raised by the learner regarding exam form. You can respond back to this email (reply All) and the same will be posted in the discussion forum of the course and many other learners will be able to get the benefit.

Hi sir

I am trying to edit the address .It is clearly mentioned in the guidelines that address can be changed till 21st February but when I click on the edit button , the screen changes but no editting in address is possible. I m sending screenshots as well. Though address may not be an important field  but still if it's mentioned that we can edit it ....that provision should be there..

Hi Nidhi,

I spoke with the NPTEL Team here. The address field was used earlier for dispatching of certificates to candidates. Now after moving to SWAYAM, the policy is to have only soft-copy of the certificate which makes this field a non-required data which they will slowly phase off. The timeline and guideline document was copied from previous semester and it was an oversight from our team that the Address was still kept in list of fields to be changed. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. This has been updated now.
