how to take part in discussion forum?

I am confused about how to take part in disscussion forum. because when i open the discussion categories e.g techinical querries, content querries, then I don't find button to write my response. I wanted to introduce myself in the group but i didn't get the button to add my response. can you help me out? may be the way i chose to write this feedback is the correct way and unknowingly I didn't realise it !

When u click on Ask a question link,you will be directed to discussion forum,the way you have posted this query....but instead of posting under technical query ,you can post in general introduction or any other head as per your query.

Please see the video they explained about how to use discussion forum in the starting of this course.It will be in the left side and click on "How does an NPTEL online course work?.In the drop down list you will find about Discussion Forum Explanation.
