Hello Everyone!
I think LxI Focus Question for Week 1 (Go to the Discussion Forum & introduce yourself. State your name, domain, where you come from ) can be re framed  as Go to the Discussion Forum & introduce yourself. State your name, domain, what pedagogy you use in your classroom, Purpose of joining this course and what will be your Take Away after attending the course?

Learner should initiate the discussion through introduction, it is a good sign of open mindedness, leadership and interpersonal communication skills. there are many learners in this group but very few participate in the discussion and live interaction video session.
Then Learner should share about the pedagogy of teaching and learning various subjects in his classroom that will give information to other learners to know more about various pedadogies.
Secondly, learner should write about the main objective for joining this course(can be optional) of course that can be more important than only having a certificate. learner's main priority should be knowing, learning, and implementing knowledge into practice.
Lastly, Learner should be clear about what s/he wants from this course and that is more than mere information; Learning, Practice, Collaboration and application.

Thank you

Hi Dipali,
Nice analysis. Just 1 point - you said what will be your take-away? Did you mean what are your expectations from the course?
As a learner, I can frame my take-aways only after I have proceeded beyond the 1st week. You/others in the forum may contradict my viewpoint.

I also agree that the question is not complete as it only asks the learners to introduce themselves. There is nothing that can connect learner with other learners and instructors or with the course itself. So, along with the introduction it would be better to ask questions like-
what is your motivation behind joining this course?
What are your expectations from the course?
Why, according to you, is learner centricity important?

The questions like- ‘What are your takeaways from the course?’ should be posed in the last week wherein the learners are familiar with the content and can easily summarize what they have learnt in the entire course.

Dipali ji I think your suggestions are really useful and quite appreciable. The LxI w.r.t. introduction should be more specific as you mentioned.
