Dear Sir,

I am confused regarding this answer, as i feel both a and d are correct. d) solve is about externalizing ideas that lack structure and writing brings this structure

infact feels more correct as empty your head is ok, but how is it connected to ideas, it opens your mind to new ideas, not necessary writing it, whereas ideas in the head are unstructured, and writing it down brings structure to it, hence it is imp. to write it.

Kindly explain at the earliest as exams are in 2 days. 

Why do we write down the ideas as a first step in the Solve Module?

 Empty your head of all pre-existing ideas by writing ideas down

 We can be quite forgetful, so it is better to rely on methods like this

 Writing is a physical action that also triggers creativity

 Solve is about externalizing ideas that lack structure and writing brings this structure
