Hi,

I have a question about what is happening in this video at 00:10:14 -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaVQW3VITbQ#t=614s.

50% of choline is reuptaken. Then what happens to remaining 50%?.

Thanks!

Hello.
Many non-neuronal cells also require choline for processes not related to the generation of ACh.(e.g. the synthesis of various choline-containing phospholipids). Thus, after the requirements of the cholinergic neurons have been satisfied, the unreuptaken choline is transported to the non-cholinergic cells for use in other processes
