Register for the certificate exam!

Dear Student:

This is a gentle reminder on registration for the certification exam. Registrations closes on April 8th 2015, 5 Pm, so hurry!

Currently the certification exam is only for students in India. 

Dates of exam: 10th May 2015 (or) 17th May 2015 (You can choose and write a maximum of 2 exams. If you are doing 3 or more courses, you will be able to appear only for 2 exams, at this point of time.)

Type of exam: Objective. It would be an online examination with MCqs, fill in the blanks type of questions for 3 hours. Answers will be computer graded.

Exam Session time: 1 PM - 4 PM

Examination Centers: The exam is to be conducted in 100 cities across India whose list is available on the registration form.

Registration fees: Rs 1000/-

Mode of payment: Only online payment - debit card/credit card/net banking

Hall ticket: will be available for download on May 4th 2015.

Certificate will be awarded to candidates who register and attend the certificate examination. The scores obtained by the student in the proctored exam will be printed on the certificate. The certificate will also have a link to the NPTEL website, where on logging in, your score in the proctored certification exam will be displayed. There is no weightage of marks for assignment marks in the final score. Assignments in these courses are provided to you only for self-assessment and practice.

IMPORTANT NOTE :- (FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ENROLLED IN MORE THAN 1 COURSE) -  Please note that once the registration form is submitted after payment, no changes like adding or removing the chosen course, exam date, city is possible. So, if you are choosing to write 2 course exams, please choose suitably and make the payment. Its not possible to pay later for the second course. Once the payment is made, the registration form will be non-editable.

Thank You for the announcement, Sir.

Now that the deadline for registration has been extended to 8th of April, shouldn't the Application Form be made editable till that time.

Compared to many other Online Education platforms, the NPTEL Online needs a lot more work to be done. Kindly do not make it a rigid platform with rigid set of protocols. It would attract more students if it is made more student friendly.
