Dear Sir/Madam/Co-Learner,

In the 5th Question ...

Phone Numbers and E-mail should also come under unstructured data Right???

Because they are ofcourse data in a sense but we cant make any meaning out of them...like we cant do any mathematical operations or calculate an average of the Phone numbers..but that would not make any sense..

Please clarify my doubt regarding this...

hey mate!

Structured data means as quantitative data.Data that can be fitted in fixed fields and columns.Eg: Names, emails,phone number,DOB these all information could be stored orderly and neatly.

whereas Unstructured data is qualitative data which cannot be analysed with conventional tools and methods.Eg: Music videos data,images,mobile activity, satellite activity etc.

No, you can not say structured data is quantitative data. Structure data consists of both quantitative and qualitative data. Actually, quantitative data is numerical data and qualitative data is categorical data.

If data can be arranged in any predefined manner or can be tabulated then it is called structured data otherwise it is called unstructured data.

But sir, wont that mean that web pages, image files and video foles can be structured data as they have their categories?

I am still not clear about the differentiation between structured and unstructured data. If you could explain how these above types are unstructured it would be great help.
