Hello Sir/Madam,

I have got doubt in the solution of the problem finding correlation between heights and weights.

Heights Average = 153

Heights SD = sqrt(1184/7) = 13.005

Weights Average = 55

Weights SD = sqrt(1200/7) = 13.093

covariance between Heights and Weights = -18/7 = -2.5714

Correlation between heights and Weights = -2.5714/(13.005*13.093) = -0.015

So I thought it as low negative correlation exists.

But in the answers it is given as low positive correlation.

Can you please clarify my doubt where I made my mistake?

Maybe, you are making some calculation mistakes. It will come positive.

One way to answer that question is to make a rough scatter plot and check the association rather than wasting time in calculation.
