Hi,

You can choose the key as per your convenience. For example, to represent 380 on a stem and leaf plot, you may choose 3| 80 (means 380) or 38|0 (means 380) as key depending upon data values.

In statistics , this is now become a frequent issues. This subject is totally new for us at least for many of us. This conflict of basic fundamental things should be addressed by official announcement. If someone missed any thread ,he or she  is in wrong side.

Hello, 

You can use the sample standard deviation for calculating the point bi-serial coefficient, but in that case you need to use the sample correction in the formula. Instead of using sqrt(p0 *p1), use sqrt[(n0/n-1)(n1/n)].  But if you are using population standard deviation for calculation, then use sqrt(p0*p1). 

In tutorial 4, there is a mistake, we will send an announcement.

Also, please find the screenshot attached here for the formula.
