In this question(Practice Assignment 4, question-2) I have been asked for correlation coefficient for a set of 10 student. that mean it is all about sample. Following that when we calculate standard deviation we consider n=n-1.(10-1)
but in solution video teacher solve the problem with population(where n=10).
please explain me how we will get to know which we should take, Population or sample?

The experiment is performed on 10 students, which means that's the population.  It's not a sample.
