Total Population has to be same.(ERROR)

In the graded assignment,chart 2.2

If I wish to calculate the total population of India,it is coming out to be different if I use the data available for 2 different languages.

For eg-
Calculating total population using Sanskrit Language would be

(24,821 X 100000)/ 2 which would come out to be 1,241,050,000

however if I were to calculate the total population using English Language that would be

(2,596,780,000)/2 which is equal to 1,298,390,000

Which shouldn't be the case since the population of India should come out to be the same irrespective of any data that I use.

Please look into the same

I think they rounded off the percentage in given table. That is why.

In my opinion, there is no such need to calculate the population. A rough estimate could also work.
