In a dataset report containing report from 15 household about the the no. of people in house we can find mean , median and mode.
So my question is it descriptive statistics or inferential statistics ?Why ?

Hi,
If you are finding mean, median, mode of the 15 household only then it is the descriptive statistics.
When you are finding the mean, median and mode for the households of entire city by using the data of 15 households then it is a inferential statistics.
