Hi,
I couldn't understand how the data given in the table 2.2A fall in nominal scale of measurement. 
Given the population that speaks first language & the % Population that speaks the language - the median of the population which is the middle value could be found. Please clarify the same. 

What is the median of the dataset in Table 2.2.A?

(a) Hindi
(b) Bengali
(c) English
(d) Median is not defined for this dataset.


Language has a nominal scale of measurement.
Hence, median does not exist for the given dataset.

Hello,

Can you please elaborate your question a little? As you have already told language has a nominal scale of measurement, so median is not defined.
