for q12, The options says mean is 8, median is 6, mode 15(15 may be present twice.) (data is unimodal).

Let's  consider the 5 numbers are x1 , x2, 6 (median), 15 ,15(mode)

So, here,  Range is 15-x1, IQR is 15-x2

Option 1 is 14 and 12, Range = 14 = 15-x1

                                         x1 = 1

similarly,                     IQR = 12 = 15-x2

                                         x2 = 3

So, the given 5 numbers now are 1, 3, 6, 15, 15 whose, mean is 8, median is 6, mode 15. So, the first option is true.

Similarly verify for other options.

Hi,
Whatever Sanjay has mentioned is correct. You can also proceed in another way rather than checking all the options. You can find a linear relation between x1 and x2 using the mean formula, you will get
x1+x2=4.
then Since x1 and x2 are non zero natural numbers. x1 and x2 can be 1,  3,and 2, 2. But 2,2 is not possible since there is only one mode which is 15.
Therefore x1=1 and x2=3. Now you can find range and IQR.
