sir,
My doubt is that in question no. 6 option 2 states that range of a sample can never be greater than range of the population(which according to the solutions is false), but guess that should be true
Please explain

The range is the difference between the smallest data point and the largest.

A sample is a subset of the population and hence cannot have a datapoint smaller than smallest, and larger than larger.  Hence, the range of sample must be lesser/equal to population.
