Sir,
According to the question from the above screenshot,  information is being derived from the data ( example: "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" recieved the maximum number of votes).
And since we could get some conclusions from the data, shouldn't the analysis belong to inferential statistics?

In the question, it's said that "among the 1000 films" that means the population is 1000 and the sample is also 1000, therefore it's a sort of summary of the set.
Let's assume we had taken a part of the population say 200, and wanted to find how many films were from Bollywood?
then it would've been inferential.

The part of statistics concerned with the drawing of conclusions
from data is called inferential statistics.
I To be able to draw a conclusion from the data, we must take
into account the possibility of chance- introduction to
probability.

Their no possibility of chance here, in the sense they aren't going to take any further decision on data. as like to start a business or not ( previous question in activity 1) or here they aren't deciding anything. it's just a study

Am I RIght?

Here in this question we are describing the data and while describing it is found that among the 1000 films in the list, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag received the maximum number of votes followed by 3 Idiots and Swades respectively. That is why this analysis comes under inferential statistics.

Hello,

Then why is the answer given as "Descriptive Statistics"?

Best regards,
Venkat
