In the practice assignment question no. 10, the solution shows that the second option is correct

B. The income increased threefold in 2013 from 2012

I can't understand he calculations given in the practice solution. Can anyone explain?

Radius of 2nd pie chart is twice of 1st pie chart it implies that income of 2012+2013 is 4 times of income of 2012 which implies that income of 2013 is thrice of income of 2012.

Sir what does the area of a pie chart mean?

Area of the pie chart means the area of the whole circle. Area of a circle is π R^2 . Since the radius is double, the area becomes 4 times.
