This is a maths question.
Slope at a particular point is nothing but dy/dx value at that point. You need to find the dy/dx value at (2,y).
For the given equation,
dy/dx= 12x+10,
dy/dx= 12x+10,
Implies dy/dx at (2,y) is 12*2+10=34.
