Problem 10 solution and a Doubt

Attached is the solution I found for problem 10 of Mock test.

Assuming this is right, a doubt propped up as to while finding Variance why are we using the sum of Frequencies instead of Population or Sample size N or N-1 in the denominator.

Can anyone help please.

How many data-points can you see here? It's the sum of frequencies, isn't it?
