WE ARE TOLD THAT OPTION IS TRUE BUT OPTION A CAN ALSO BE TRUE , IN FACT IN OPTION B ITS SAID THAT MEDIAN CAN BE CALCULATED FOR A POPULATION FROM A SAMPLE WHILE IN THE INTERACTIVE SESSION WE WERE TOLD THAT MEAN CAN  BE CALCULATED BUT MEDIAN  OF A  POPULATION CANNOT BE DERIEVED FROM  A SAMPLE.

Hi,
Median can be calculated for population if sample is given. This will be taught to you in next course.

The question is asked in the context of the given table (1.5.A Bike dataset), so option A should be correct.
