how is the answr, if we write this in values in series then max value is 89 in this leaf plot,then why isnt mode 89 and there is no value llike 89 in option and it answr is given as 64,71,69 how can u explain

Hello Priyanshu,

The mode is the observation that has the maximum frequency. What you are saying is since 89 is the maximum observation, it should be mode. But that is not correct.

In the given stem and leaf plot, as you can see 64, 69, and 71 appears twice and they have the maximum frequency in the whole dataset, so they are the  mode.
