Which of the following is/are true about a Pareto chart?
1)Pareto chart is same as bar chart if the frequency data is sorted in ascending order.
2)Pareto chart can be used to represent a categorical data graphically with an ordinal scale of measurement.
3)Pareto chart is same as bar chart if the frequency data is sorted in descending order.
4)Pareto chart should not be used to represent a categorical data graphically with an ordinal scale of measurement.

so the answers are 1, 3, 4 options. in the lecture didn't she mention that ' if a category is ordinal then order must be preserved?'
this clearly states that it can be used for categorical variables. ordinal being a categorical variable.

can someone please explain me why 4th option is correct? and why 2nd option is wrong?

As per my understanding, Pareto chart is an ordered version(ascending or descending) of frequency of  nominal categorical variables. in ordinal scale , one type of order is already there so if we want to represent that things with pareto chart it can be misleading.

Hi,
Prof. Usha ma'am has said in her lecture that in case of ordinal data, order must be preserved that means the data should be arranged in that order. We cannot change the order if any variables frequency is more.
