Can someone provide me with a suitable definition along with a couple of examples of Continuous and Discrete variables?

Discrete Data

It doesn’t take all the values within given interval. That is they are discrete.

They (possible data points) are either finite or countably infinite.

You can not measure the data, you only count the data.

Examples: Days in a week, number of students

Continuous Data

It takes all the values within given interval.

They are uncountable.

We can measure the data.

Examples: Heights, volume
