Calculate sample covariance for the following dataset:
x: 2,4,7,11
y: 30, 49, 60, 55
I got 39.66.

Hi,
Sharing my calculations here.
mean(x) = 6
mean(y) = 48.5
Sum of last column is 117.
So, sample covariance would be 117/3 = 39
Regards,
Dipankar

Got it. I did not consider - sign in second observation during calculation so +1 instead of -1. Thank you.
