if mniute spend by sutdnets is not interval theny how is it ordinal 

is it beucase 45-60 is grater in orer than 30-45

Less than 30 and 30-45 the total difference or interval not same but it maintain an order like ranking.so here the numbers do not make sense.it is just like good better best

Amount of time is given as categories. They don't have any numeric properties. You can not add them or subtract them but they have a certain order that's why it comes under the ordinal scale of measurement.

Sir,

It is necessary to be in interval scale the difference or interval need to be same between the ranges in categories.like upper interval and lower interval in 0-5 years then 5-10 years
