In this question, if an option is mentioned which contains all the categories of misleading graphs which are present in the given graph then why do I need to select the above mentioned options which are nothing but a division of the last option. You could have removed the last option from the question or could have given some other option in place of that. I know the fact that it is a MSQ but that doesn't mean that I have to select the repeated options as only one option can also be the correct one.

Its a humble request from my side that if you could pay some attention to my raised concern as such things create a lot of confusion and despite of knowing the correct answer, I lost a few marks on the question.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Statistics team,
I have answered d above question in similar manner. I have also answered "missing baseline and manipulated Y axis". Logically it means I have applied d concept and have come up with correct answer. There is no loss of information in my answer. Even though it is MSQ , my answer covers both correct answers. You could have given such options in practice assignment at least to throw light on such options of answering. When it comes to graded assignment, most of us are keen to answer correctly straightforward rather choosing the correct answers in various options. I kept in mind that I have to answer similar questions in 45 minutes in qualifier exams and attended graded assignment in similar mindset. Kindly avoid such ambiguous answers in future assignments.

Came here to say just this. Why would anyone choose options a and b separately when you have another option which is basically a + b? This is strange.

Came here to just say this. IITM statistics team should take care of such things because here we are tested logically. And Logically Option D is correct. So please provide full marks.

Hello all,

This question comes under MSQ. So, even if the option (d) says both (a) and (b) are correct, still your option (a) and (b) is not wrong. If the question was MCQ, then option (d) would have been correct.

Thanks

Hello Stats Team,

How can we understand if a question is an MSQ or an MCQ ?
I could not find any such mention in the question.

You can see it from the option's-side ;if its a bubble it's a MCQ  and if it is a small square it is MSQ.
