Hello,

I have a doubt in question 2 from the Week 3 Practice Assignment. 

In the solutions, it is given that the coordinates for Point B is found from the equations of AD and AB, which are y=1 & y=-2x respectively. 

I would like to know why are we using the equations y=1 & y=-2x to find the coordinates for point B.

Hi Mohit,

y=0 is the side of the river where Rahul currently is. At y=0 is the destination. So that equation is taken. Then we need to find at which point is B on the destination side of the river.. That is given by the y=-2x. So we are using these two eqns.
