SLOPE OF QUAD EQN:
so whenever u come across the word slope always remember its difference in the y co-ordinates/x coordinates.
also slope means tan (theta) and tan (theta) in trigonometry means perpendicular/base (in a right angle triangle).
also in a quadratic graph the line which is drawn on the edges of curve is basically the slope of that quad.curve

i m attaching a photo on how to find slope of quadratic easily.

Yes differentiation is one way, also as shown in the lecture, if you verify for different points in the parabola, its is the general formula which emerges.
