Dear Sir/Madam,

      Couldn't find the equation of tangent at any given point in a parabola in the Week 4 slides.  And the equation was not a part of the lecture and there was no explanation either.  Will there be questions from this area? If so please give an explanation of the equation.  Thanks for the kind attention.

Thank You.

Yours faithfully

By google:
The equation of the tangent to the parabola y2=4ax at a point (x1,y1) is given by yy1=2a(x+x1).

2ax + b

It is there .
slope=2ax +b

@ Manoj

Is it Y2 or Y^2?

For this exam, slope=2ax+b

you use slope ,point form
find slope of parabola
y-y1=m(x-x1)
put the values of x1,y1 in the eqation
m=dy/dx=slope 2ax+b
