Since Deb(D) and Ananya(A) bought 20 toys together , let us assume that the no. of toys bought by deb is "x". Now the no. of toys bought by A is 20-x.Now Deb loses 3 toys , so his new no. is (x-3) toys.
Ananya loses 4 toys , so her new no. is (20-x-4). After losing the product of both their toys is 42 i.e. (x-3).(20-x-4)=42. Solving this you will get option C as the answer
