Slope of a parabola is = 2ax +b
                                       = 2 * (-5)*x + 10
                                       =-10x +10

First derivative is the slope of parabola or slope of line that will always be correct.if you want you can go with formula given in lectures as slope =2ax+b it is also derived from the derivative only

Y=ax^2+bx+c
slope =dy/dx = 2ax+b
