in this question ,  

in options 3 and 6 both asked distance but in solution of this g.a. in options 3 displacement is calculated but in options 6 distance is calculated 

why ?

I think you are referring question no 9 of graded assignments.

It is clearly mentioned" how much Ajay has walked". So , the distance is the only option since Ajay never walked the displacement path. But for Ankit it is clearly mentioned that ," he wants a direct path to reach Ajay" . So, displacement is the only option.

For Ankit, it is displacement( in question it is written, Ankit wants a direct path to reach Ajay. So, here distance means only displacement.)'.

For Ajay ,it is distance(here Ajay never walked the displacement path so distance means distance only).
