What is the difference between the range and codomain of a function and how is range a subset of the codomain?

The “codomain” of a function or relation is a set of values that might possibly come out of it, the range is the set of all output values of a function. So all the items of the set 'Range' will be in 'Codomain'.

In mock test q1, set B is empty so it's cardinality should 1 that is phi then cardinality of A will 2 . Is that correct?
