A stone is thrown with an initial speed u (m/s) as shown in figure 3. The height of the stone’s trajectory above the ground is, H(t)=−5t2+12ut (here t is the time of flight). If the highest point in air that the stone can reach is 5m above the ground, then calculate the initial speed u.

solve the equation for maximum height 
get it in the form of ax2+ bx + c
get value of a

then solve for  the value t  max using -b/2a

substitute in the a in the ax2 +bx +c

it is lengthy but this is what my non math brains could thnk off there might be an easier way also
