Please allow calculators!

My Sincere request to the IIT team is, Please allow scientific calculators

Since the online calculator is not up to the mark

1. Does not take key board input

2. Lesser readability due to size

3. Switching tabs for referring values in questions and enter in calculator is much painful and time consuming and error prone.

4. Its irritating some times, and tough balancing for people with average experience in handling browser and computers

I feel that allowing scientific calculators wont lead to cheating or copying as they are just calculators

Also, Calculators are allowed in almost all exams in school and colleges

I guess almost everyone here is requesting for that.

May be the IIT Team wants us to do most of the simple calculations ourselves and very few on the calculator.

I mean this can be the possible rationale.

Clarification : By simple I mean addition, subtraction, multiplication and possibly division.

But even that is quite exhausting given the fact that we will have to do so many of them. Also to the fact in the course, we will have to do most of the calculations either using programming or spreadsheets

i do agree the online calculator is not a commonly used tool. the learning curve is slow will amount to stress and time consuming

pls do allow a scientific calculator
